FossilSketch is an NSF-funded research project being developed at the Sketch Recognition Lab. I lead the UI / UX design as well as development. I have designed and built the applicaton entirely myself, with assistance from micropaleontologists Dr. Anna Stepanova and Dr. Christina Belanger. The software will be deployed in classrooms at Texas A&M in Spring 2021.
FossilSketch contains videos and interactive identification lessons that help students learn about the importance of microfossils, and why identifying them is valuable for reconstructing models of the Earth's climate.
